Raspberry Daiquiri

A nice change change from the classic daiquiri, this Raspberry Daiquiri is also delicious and a beautiful color.

Ingredients

For the Rim

  • sugar
  • lime wedge

For the Cocktail

  • 6 raspberries
  • ½ ounce orange liqueur
  • 1 ½ ounce white rum
  • 2 teaspoons bar sugar If necessary, blend regular sugar until it is fine
  • ½ lime juiced

Garnish

  • whole raspberries
  • lime wheel

Instructions

To Rim the Glass

  • Spread the sugar evenly on a small plate; rim the edge of the glass with the lime wedge and dip it into the sugar. Set aside.

To Make the Cocktail

  • In a cocktail shaker or mixing glass; muddle the raspberries and orange liqueur.
  • Add the rum, sugar and lime juice and fill the shaker with ice.hake well; strain into the sugar rimmed glass.

Garnish

  • Garnish with whole raspberries and a lime wheel.

Notes

To Make a Strawberry Version; substitute the raspberries with 2 sliced strawberries when muddling.
Use 1 bar spoon (1 tsp) of sugar in recipe. Garnish with a strawberry.
