Irish Lemonade Cocktail

A delightful all year round sipper; the adult version of lemonade with Irish Whiskey and a splash of grenadine.

Ingredients

  • 4 ounces Irish Whiskey
  • 2 ounces lemon Juice
  • 2 ounces lime Juice
  • ¼ teaspoon grenadine For homemade grenadine see https://creative-culinary.com/bacardi-cocktail-recipe/
  • 3 tablespoons simple syrup
  • club soda chilled

Garnish

  • Lime Wedges and Cherries

Instructions

  • Combine Irish whiskey, lemon juice, lime juice, grenadine and simple syrup to cocktail shaker and shake well. Add ice to shaker and shake until ice cold.
  • Add crushed ice to serving glass and strain mix over.
  • Top with club soda.
  • Garnish with a cherry and lime wedge

Notes

In a pinch for time and fresh ingredients? Substitute ready made lemonade for the lemon, lime juices, and sugar. If using concentrate, do add the water per instructions.
To Make Simple Syrup
  • Combine equal parts water with sugar (For this recipe I did a quarter cup of each) in a small saucepan, bring to a boil.
  • Turn off heat and stir until all sugar is melted and combined with water.
  • Chill before using in cocktails.
