Ingredients
For the Cheese Layer
8ozcream cheesesoftened
½TbspFinely grated sweet onion
½tspgarlic powderor 1 garlic clove, minced
1tspWorcestershire Sauce
For the Topping
¼cupbutter
¼cuplight brown sugar
½tspwhole grain mustard
1tspWorcestershire Sauce
1cpecans or walnutsroughly chopped, slightly toasted
Instructions
Using a mixer, combine all ingredients for the cheese layer and form into 4" or 6" disc about 1" thick. Cover and refrigerate for 2 hours minimum, preferably overnight. Bring to room temperature before serving.
In skillet or small saucepan, melt 1/4 c butter over medium heat. Stir in brown sugar, mustard and Worcestershire Sauce and cook over low heat until sugar dissolves; about 4 minutes.
Turn off heat, add the pecans and stir to coat.
Pour nut mixture over room temperature cheese and serve with crackers.
