Ingredients

For the Cheese Layer

  • 8 oz cream cheese softened
  • ½ Tbsp Finely grated sweet onion
  • ½ tsp garlic powder or 1 garlic clove, minced
  • 1 tsp Worcestershire Sauce

For the Topping

  • ¼ cup butter
  • ¼ cup light brown sugar
  • ½ tsp whole grain mustard
  • 1 tsp Worcestershire Sauce
  • 1 c pecans or walnuts roughly chopped, slightly toasted

Instructions

  • Using a mixer, combine all ingredients for the cheese layer and form into 4" or 6" disc about 1" thick. Cover and refrigerate for 2 hours minimum, preferably overnight. Bring to room temperature before serving.
  • In skillet or small saucepan, melt 1/4 c butter over medium heat. Stir in brown sugar, mustard and Worcestershire Sauce and cook over low heat until sugar dissolves; about 4 minutes.
  • Turn off heat, add the pecans and stir to coat.
  • Pour nut mixture over room temperature cheese and serve with crackers.
