Cappuccino Rice Krispie Treats

Some additional ingredients and plain Rice Krispie treats are taken to a delicious with coffee and chocolate!

Ingredients

  • 10 ounces marshmallows
  • 4 tablespoons butter
  • 2 ounces Baker's German's Sweet Chocolate Bar
  • 2 tablespoons dry espresso powder
  • ¼ teaspoon cinnamon
  • 6 cups Rice Krispies
  • 2-4 oz white chocolate

Instructions

  • Butter the bottom and sides of a 13"X9" baking pan.
  • In a large saucepan or pot, melt the butter and marshmallows on medium low heat. Once melted, add the chocolate, espresso, and cinnamon and mix until the chocolate is melted.
  • Add the Rice Krispies to the marshmallow mixture and mix thoroughly. Turn mixture into the buttered pan and use a large spoon or your buttered hands to gently spread the mixture into the pan. Let cool.
  • Melt the white chocolate in the microwave or over a double boiler (see https://www.craftsy.com/blog/2013/09/how-to-melt-white-chocolate/ for details on either process)
  • Using a piping bag or simply a fork that you dip in the chocolate, drip it erratically over the treats. Refrigerate briefly to set the chocolate, then cut into squares and enjoy!
