Notes
Grenadine
While you can purchase Rose's grenadine, it's mostly sugar water. Do you know the origin of grenadine? It's because pomegranate in French is grenade, hence grenadine, and it's a pomegranate syrup. It's so simple, it's a blend of pomegranate juice and sugar that you simmer on the stove until it thickens slightly. So easy!I've included the recipe in this post for a Tequila Sunrise cocktail; I used honey instead of sugar and we loved it.
Maraschino Cherries
While I keep regular maraschino cherries on hand for when I have an urge to make a Pineapple Upside Down Cake, for drinks I prefer cherries that look more natural. We love the Peninsula brand for cocktails!
