Pizzelle Italian Waffle Cookies
Classic Italian Pizzelle Waffle Cookies are thin, lightly flavored and absolutely addictive!
Servings 36 -40
- 1 ¾ cup flour
- 2 teaspoons baking powder
- 3 eggs
- ¾ c sugar
- ½ cup melted butter
- 1 Tablespoon vanilla orange, or anise extract
- Powdered sugar optional
Mix eggs and sugar.
Add dry ingredients, extract and butter. Mix well, at least 2 minutes.
Drop dough by teaspoons onto heated Pizzelle iron. Cook according to maufacturer's directions, but usually about one minute.
Cool and dust with powdered sugar if desired.
